Re your letter of the 19th ulto., I have to report; that on instructions received, from the Colonial Office, I Ppoceeded to London. And there saw. Dr. Daniels, at Harley Street who informed me that I was not medically fit, to resume my old duties, as a Police Lance Sergeant in Hong Kong.

Your letter, did not arrive here until after I had left Hylton to proceeded to London, On the Colonial Office instructions & so could not act on it.

Re Railway

I am returning your letter, & am awaiting further instructions, Also enclosed, is the amount of expenses incurred by me, fare to & from London.
